Rent a Volvo Tromsø – Rent a Volvo AS

1. Booking and cancellation

All bookings are subject to confirmation by Rent a Volvo AS. No prepayment or deposit is required.

Customers may cancel their booking free of charge at any time before the agreed vehicle collection time. Please notify us as soon as possible if your plans change.

2. Drivers

Drivers must be at least 20 years old and have held a valid driving licence continuously for at least one year.

Additional drivers are welcome at no extra charge but must be approved by Rent a Volvo AS.

3. Collection and return

Vehicle delivery and return arrangements are agreed individually and confirmed with the customer.

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location. Any changes or extensions must be approved in advance. Early return does not normally entitle the customer to a refund.

4. Mileage and permitted travel

Unlimited mileage is included.

Vehicles may be driven on public and marked roads in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Off-road driving, racing, illegal use, overloading and driving by unauthorised persons are prohibited.

5. Insurance and excess

Comprehensive insurance is included in the rental price.

For insured incidents, the applicable excess is up to NOK 15,000 per incident, as specified in the rental agreement.

Insurance is subject to the applicable policy terms. Certain damage or costs may not be covered, including damage involving tyres, wheels, keys, roof or underbody, depending on the circumstances. Customers may be responsible for documented uninsured losses where legally liable.

6. Fuel, tolls and additional charges

Vehicles are delivered with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full tank of the correct fuel.

If the tank is not refilled, the customer must pay for the missing fuel and a NOK 300 refuelling service fee.

Customers are responsible for road tolls, ferries, parking charges and traffic fines incurred during the rental. AutoPASS charges may be settled after the vehicle has been returned. Applicable transaction or administration costs will be disclosed where charged.

7. Vehicle care

Customers must take reasonable care of the vehicle and follow relevant warning indications.

Smoking is prohibited. Documented costs for extraordinary cleaning, damage or missing equipment may be charged where applicable under the rental agreement and Norwegian law.

8. Accidents, damage and roadside assistance

Any accident, damage, mechanical problem or breakdown must be reported to Rent a Volvo AS immediately.

Customers must take reasonable steps to prevent further damage and must not arrange repairs without our approval.

Roadside assistance costs NOK 1,000 if used. Additional costs not covered by insurance may apply in accordance with the rental agreement.

9. Rental agreement

The individual rental agreement confirms the vehicle, rental period, price, applicable insurance excess and other agreed arrangements.

Customers are asked to inspect the vehicle at handover and report any existing damage. Any subsequent damage claim will be assessed using the available documentation, insurance terms and applicable law.

10. Contact and applicable law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
